Earl,
Amorette was the fifth child of Norman Chaffee and Nabby Davis. Norman was born in South Wilbraham, He was a farmer and carpenter and had a grist and saw-mill. He made his own coffin and built his own vault and a monument eight feet high, twelve years before his death. He and his wives area buried in South Wilbraham.

2. Nabby Elvira Chaffee, b. Aug. 14, 1814
3. Mary Amelia Chaffee, b. April 25, 1816
4. Edmund Dwight Chaffee, b. March 6, 1818
5. Amorette Jane Chaffee, b. April 25, 1820
6. Alanson Norman Chaffee, b. Feb. 28, 1822
7. Ralph Tyler Chaffee, b. Nov. 14, 1823
8. Betsey Samantha Chaffee, b. Sept. 9, 1825
9. Amanda Holly Chaffee, b. Oct. 2, 1827
Children by second wife:
10. Dolly Chaffee, b. Jan 19, 1830
11. Leonora Chaffee, b. Sept. 9, 1831
12. Almira C. Chaffee. b. Nov. 24, 1835
