Lots of Chaffee info in this book by William H. Chaffee, published 1909 by The Grafton Press, NY.NY. "Embracing the Chafe, Chafy, Chafie, Chafey, Chafee, Chaphe, Chaffy, Chaffie, Chaffey, Chaffe, Chaffee Descendants of Thomas Chaffe, of Hingham, Hull, Rehoboth, and Swansea, Massachusetts" The copyrite has expired, so it can be freely copied. It should be available in many good libraries, particularly genealogical libraries. Covers about half of the approximatly 18,000 Chaffee descendants who were born in America by that time, very nearly all descendants of Thomas.
