hI! So we have settled into a family: Warren Chaffee's. I have already given you information on Warren Chaffee and his wives. The following are his children: Page#283 The Chaffee Genealogy by William Chaffee 1909 *Children, by first wife, the first six born in Roxbury, the last three in Brasher: 1..Esther Chaffee born November 30, 1828; married Nelson Burnap; had a daughter and three or four sons; residence 1891 Franklin County, NY 2...Erastus Chaffee, born March 23, 1831; died in Iowa; married Charlotte Conger, and had five or six children, who were living in Goldfield, Ia., in 1891 3...Sarah Chaffee, born April 19, 1833; married Denison A. Flint; had a daughter and two sons, one of whom died before 1891; residence, 1891, Brasher. 4...Mariette Chaffee, born April 18, 1836; married Hiram M. Pierce had two sons and two daughters; all living in Moira, NY in 1891. 5...Orcelia Steel Chaffee, born March 31, 1838; married Franklin A. Flint, and had a daughter; residence 1891, Lawrence, NY 6...Henry Warren Chaffee, born May 14, 1841; died August 20, 1848. 7...John Nelson Chaffee, born June 15, 1844 Celia L. Flint. 8...Zeno Eliott Chaffee, born May 10, 1846; married Louise Hart; had a son and daughter; residence Lawrence in 1891 Warren's Parents were: Josiah Chaffee & Silenda Gould page 156 Josiah Chaffee was born in rehoboth, Ma., July 12, 1766, and died in North Larence, NY., May 24, 1856. He married in Williamstown, VT., in 1792, Silenda Gould of Westminister, VT., born May 11, 1770, died in Roxbury, VT., March 23, 1838, and was buried there. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Josiah Chaffee's great Aunt, Miriam Chaffee (42), died in 1787, leaving him all her property. July 12, 1791, he bought land in Williamstown. April 14, 1792, Josiah Chaffee, :yeoman" of Cumberland, RI sold to Braddock Chaffee, "yeoman" of Rehoboth, two acres of land in that place adjoining the home land of said Braddock, for L10, 10s. On April 16th of the same year he sold to Amos Reed of Rehoboth, one-half acres of land in that palce for L2,12s. November 15, 1794, he bought one hundred acres more in Williamstown, where he was living at the time of his marriage. He was elected a Hayward of Williamstown, March 3, 1795. He afterward lived in Roxbury and in Stockhom, NY Josiah Chaffee fought in the War of 1812. He had a fair complexion, blue eyes was five feet, ten inches in height and of a jovial disposition. He was a basket maker by trade and was a member of the Universalist Church. Children: Anson Chaffee, born 3, July 1795; married Eunice Flint. Amy Chaffee, born August 12 1796; married Daniel Flint. Parmelia Chaffee, born August 7, 1798; died in Roxbury in 1817; married Joel Richardson Warren Chaffee - Emily Chaffee, born February 10, 1805 married William Ditty. Oliver Chaffee, born September 9, 1806 married Abigail (Flint) Chaffee Joel Chaffee born Mrs. Abigail (Flint) Chaffee John Chaffee, born September 1, 1812; married (1) Lucy Flint; (2) Lucy E. Hardy.

Thomas Carpenter's regt; marched from Rehoboth to Bristol, on the alarm at Rhode Island of Dec. 8,. 1778; service 16 days" (Massachusetts Soldiers and Sailors in the War of the Revolution.)" Next generation: Dan Chaffee & Mary Robinson son of John Robinson He had eight children. **There is more on him Next Generation: Page 33 Johnathan Chaffee & Hannah Carpenter daughter of William and Miriam (Searles) Carpenter. Jonathan born April 7, 1678 and died December 31, 1766. Hannah was born April 10, 1684(85), and in 1767 was appointed executrix of her husband's estate. They had twelve children .
