That's OK....many people get into genealogy and take for granted that all they get out of genealogy books is TRUE and there are many errors that are repeated and repeated book after book for a hundred books. They think it is "genealogy gospel". However, back in the 1800's and 1900's there has not been the access to actual records that back up their books, as there is today. So many genealogy society's of today are researching with actual records and finding that there are certain errors. This is what happened when the New England Genealogical & Historical Society was researching the Harmon and Bliss marriage. I believed that they were marriage because I found it in several books and on the internet. However, that is just taking a mistake and repeating it over and over. I was disapointed when I lost her .....but, I would rather know truth.

I just thought perhaps you didn't understand.

Happy Hunting
