I have a LAVISA CHAFFEE COFFIN b. 1817- assuming that COFFIN was a married name, and CHAFFEE was the family surname for LAVISA, she was the second wife of AMOS FELLOWS. She was mother to Celia MeDora "Dora" Fellows, and they moved from the east to Wisconsin then to Illinois.
I did find some CHAFFEE's in Cortland, N. Y. ....?
Cortland (Homer) N. Y. was the birthplace of Emery Albert Brown who later moved to Wisconsin also and married Lavisa's daughter Celia MeDora Fellows in Walworth, Wisconsin, later moving to Illinois.
Lavisa's name was misspelled on the census records as Louisa.
Anyone with a possible match please let me know, thanks.
