Surname DNA Project Anyone?

I have just had my DNA tested. I would like to ask if any of you would be interested in participating along with me. I think it would be very interesting to see how we are all linked.

The resulted so far are posted on our website:
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Cabin/1066/142DNA_Analysis.html

To participate you have to test a MALE member of the family line. You registered on-line and they send you cotton swabs that you roll in your mouth and mail back to them. The company I dealt with was DNA Heritage (http://dnaheritage.com/), but there are others out there such are Family Tree DNA (http://www.familytreedna.com/products.html). I did the 25 marker test ($150US). They mail you the package for free and you pay when the tests are done. Some families have hundreds of individuals tested.

Note, I may not get back to you for a few weeks as I will be away on vacation, but I will keep all who are interested in the loop. If any of you know about DNA interpretation and want to help out let me know.

The more the merrier. Who knows what surprises are in store.
