I also have a CHADWICK, James Andrew who was
supposedly from Missouri. He married Liza
Jane Louden who was rumoured to be 3/4 Cherokee.
But their daughter Ida Creora Chadwick born in
Boone County, Missouri March 20, 1868, always
stated that she was 1/2 Cherokee herself. We
just presumed that James Andrew was 1/4. They
were quite a wealthy family. We heard that
they were slaveowners. They eventually moved
on to Texas where Ida married and raised a family.
In fact, one of the ex-slaves stayed with Ida
She died in childbirth and her son Jack Hall
grew up with our family. Are there any possible
connections with your line?
