Judy, thanks for the info about Grandpa
Was a Whaler. I already own the book.
My Chadwick's that I have record of came
from New Hanover County, NC originating
from Carterete County, NC. These are
both coastal towns about 50 miles apart.
A lot of your family names are similar.
The "James" name in our Chadwick
family came from my gggrandmother
Lodusky James Chadwick (Loda).
The James name has followed in our
ancestory to the present. It has been
passed down by generations that we
were related to Frank & Jesse James,
through Loda. Have you heard any of these references in you family history?
We have never confirmed this information
and are still working on the Chadwick
line. We have a lot of Thomas's &
John's in our family and can take it back
to around the 1800's.
Thanks for your reply,
Tom Chadwick
