Seeking any information on the following related to marriages within the Stanford family of the Town of Watervliet, Albany Co. N.Y. 19th Century. The following information comes from investigation related to the family of Leland Stanford born in the Town of Watervliet, NY in 1824. Stanford family ran the "Bulls Head Tavern" on the Troy Road out of Albany during the early 19th. Century.
The area of the Bulls head was also a popular park called Chadwick Park. If anyone can build on the following information please let me know:
"Charles Stanford, son of Lyman Stanford, married Jerusha Chadwick, born 3/2/1799 at South Hadley, N.Y. daughter of Jarius Chadwick, on 3/25/1820 in Albany County. Charles and Jerusha Stanford lived in Steuben Co. N.Y. from about 1820. In about 1845 they moved to Antioch (Lake Co.) Ill.
Jerusha died on Jan 1, 1875 at Avon Ill. Charles died Feb. 25, 1880 also at Avon. They had nine children, two of which died in infancy, all were born in Steuben Co. N.Y."
