Hi, I do not have a family tree with your Pearl but you can be almost certain that you and the gentleman you speak of are most assuredly Chadwick cousins as you and I are as well. Our Chadwicks came to NC from Massachusetts. There were three mariners (all brothers or father and two sons)who fished the waters out of Core Sound and settled the area of Newport, Shackelfords Banks, Davis, Newport, Marshallburg, Beaufort, The Straits, etc all around the Core Banks. We who are related to most NC Chadwicks come from this line of early mariners. Efraham (Ephraim) and Samuel Chadwick purchased land along the Core Sound between 1725-1727 and Samuel received the first ever Whaling License in NC at that time. The children of these men have resulted in all of us Chadwick connected cousins who are only partially delineated in Grandpa was a Whaler. The book is a small book, very thin but very interesting. Check with your local library and see if you can have a copy sent on loan for you to read. If not, since the pages are so few, perhaps someone will run off copies of pages for you and mail it. The family lines primarily of Samuel Chadwick are established in the book. Efraham Chadwick was lost at sea sometime between 1749-1760. If you will send me some family info about Pearl, who she was, who she married who her parents were, birth dates, death dates if known and where they lived I will do a short family tree for you and send it.
