I do believe we may have a connection. I just found out that my Gfather John Chadwick's brn abt 1860 Ga father was also a John Chadwick brn NC or Eng?,died unk,and I know his mother was Mary Chadwick brn abt 1831 NC,and both of her parents brn NC. Mary is living in Anderson Co TN abt 1900 age 69,in the household of my Gfather John along with her 2 Gsons my Gfather's nephews Robert Chadwick age 18,and Oliver Chadwick age 17 both brn GA,so Robert would have been brn abt 1882,and Oliver 1883. I was told that the 1st John Chadwick may have been a Mason,and would roam the Mountians helping people,kinda like a Circuit Rider/Preacher?,and was called Big John the Mountian Man.
I also have been told that we had a cuz in OK who may have died there abt 1950's,but I thought his name was James(Jim) Chadwick.Someone in my Chadwick line died in Ga in the 1930's,and my 2 uncles went there to the burial,hey maybe that was Jim in GA,and Robert in OK. This Chadwick cuz I believe died somewhere around Dalton GA?. Do you know if Robert had family in OK,because I was told that my uncles received royalitys every month from some land owned by a Chadwick cuz in OK(Possible oil land?). I did find a Robert Chadwick in OK abt 1920/30's,and he was brn 1882 GA,and also had a wife,and a daughter which I believe went to CA. I still am confused about the James connection. My 90 year young cuz(now passed)said that Mary Chadwick was a close relative to Frank,and Jesse James,but how?,and he also said something about the names Blue/Ballew/McCarly or Mc something,and Teauge possible AL. In my research I did find that Mary was the mother of 7 children with 3 still living in 1900.Who were the other 2 besides my Gfather?
