I have a great deal of information on the family of Samuel and Elizabeth (Pierce) Chadwick. Your Horace was doubtless a brother to Daniel Chadwick, b. July 26, 1802 , m (1) Ufema Channel and (2) Emily Loveland. Daniel lived in the Rich Hill area and is buried in Bloomfield Cemetery, Morrow Co., OH. Daniel had 4 ch. by Ufema (Selina, Rufus, Lemuel & Daniel) and 4 ch. by Emily (Mattie, George, Cornelia, Orlin). His son Rufus m. Melissa Braddock and moved to Marshall Co., Iowa where he raised a family and died. I am a descendant of Rufus Chadwick.
Back to Samuel & Elizabeth--Elizabeth was the daughter of Ebenezer Pierce, a Rev. War soldier and I have a lot of information on that family. Samuel's parentage, however, remains a mystery to me. Mormon Church records suggest that he was the son of a Joseph Chadwick but I have found no proof of that and I am skeptical. What is the basis for your belief that he was the son of William?
