Hi,

I'm a descendent of Elijah Chadwick, who I believe may have been born in 1762. The family's oral history (and his 1850 census record) indicates he was born "on the ocean". However, other info I've seen online indicates that he may have been the son of John Chadwick and Hannah Bennett.

"My" Elijah eventually married Lois Putnam in 1822 in Whitingham, VT and died in 1850. I'm trying to locate his parents and also to find out where he was in the late 1700's and early 1800's.

Do you have any info regarding the Elijah Chadwick who is the son of John and Hannah?
