I have come up with more information. My great-grandfather was Tillman Chadwick and he lived in Paris, IL. All we seem to know is that great-grandmother was a "one-half indian woman" presumably Cherokee. They had a sone, Clifton Arthur Chadwick, my grandfather, who was born on July 10, 1888 in Knoxville, TN. There also was a girl, who was born in Paris, no known date. On my grandmohter's side, her father was Johnathan Davis of Unionville, MO, and his wife was Jessie Justice Halstead (Davis) and they were in the Oklahoma Homestead Run and received 160 acres somewhere in OK. They had a aughter on June 28, 1890, named Ida May Davis, as well as eleven other children (!), some of whom were Henry, Howard, Emma, Pearl, Lewis and Albert. Ida May Davis first married Homer Jackson Lamptom, age 19, in 1908. He had a sister named "Margarirrite" who lived in Victoria, TX. Homer and Ida May had a daughter, Glagia lampton, bron Jan 23, 1910 in Carnegie, Okla. They were divorced in 1910 and in 1912 Ida may married my grandfather, Clifton Arthur, changed Glagia's name to Grace (without any legal proceedings) and then had seven of their own children: 1. Clifton Tillman (my father) born April 10, 1913 in Dickey, CO (died October 10, 1998 in Denver) 2. Wauneta, born April 5, 1914 at Ogallala, NB 3.
