Karen:
I need you to help me on Mercy Chadwick so I will tell you I am about an hour from your sisters in Hancock. Now how are we going to find out who Mercy is. Sometime I could cut and paste my Gardner side that has a Chadwick in Nantucket. It starts with Thomas in Newbury Ma, then John in Watertown, Richard b. Scituate 1708 who m. Deborah Swain so he must be in Nantucket now. Then Wickcliffe b. Nantucket. He is. Wickcliffe m. Priscilla Hammond of Bass River. He has dau. Mary b. 20 Sept. 1786 she m. Charles James Hilbourn then Wickcliffe's son is Seth b. 1778/79, and then I come to my grandfathers side which is Mary Ann Chadwick that m. Capt. Joseph Gardner.
Does any of this ring a bell with you. However I am working on the Gifford side as you know. Just for fun. Frannie
