I also have the same Chabots in one of my line and am looking for information for one of them.
My line is as follows:
Jean Chabot & Jeanne Rode
Mathurin Chabot & Marie Mesagne
Pierre Chabot & Symphorose Tapakoe (Neroutepoucoue)
Symphose was an American Indian, they were married at Kaskaskia, Illinois where their son, Pierre (II) was born. Symphose died and Pierre (I) remarried in 1718 to Dorothee Mercier at St. Joachim Quebec. I am searching for some information about Symphose's family.
