Angela, My father's mother's, grandfather was George Younce. He was married to a Mahala Mickle. The name Lucinda is here in the book but I will have to find it later. Anyway George was the fourth son of of Philip and Margaret His oldest brother was John. George was born in Miami co. june 5, 1816 , he died Feb. 9 , 1878 at his son, Samuel's Home. Mahala died 1900. They are buried in Union Cem. In Deleware county, Indiana, right south of Eaton (on the highway not the county road.) In the same Cem. as my grandma and grandpa( Pearl (Miller,Younce) and Elmer Lewis. This is really true and it can be found in a book by Ralph G. Rarick called HISTORY OF THE MISSISSINEWA CHURCH OF THE BRETHREN. I'll find the refernece to Lucinda. George had a daughter named Mary, who was my grandmother's mother. Mahala's mother was named Elizabeth (Stewart) Mickle. she was born in S.C but her parents were Irish. She died Jan. 1869, . Mahala had two sister's And I know one of them was Lucinda, I just can't find it. Mahala's father was Henry Mickle, he died at my great gr aunt's house in Eaton ,Indiana(Mary(Mickle)Younce. So here we have Mahala (my gr. gr. Grandma and her sister Mary (she also had a daughter Mary) so there is one more sister out there. ItHAS to be Lucinda! |
