Philip: You and I are descended from the same folks. William CH Lee and Hester Ann Yopp Lee were my ggg grandparents. Any idea where these two might be buried? I'm assuming maybe with Hester's people as I don't know that there were other related Lees in Laurens at that time. I'm descended from their youngest son Henry Clay Lee born in 1854 and died in 1949 aged 95. My dad was there for his funeral as a little boy. I've learned some things about the Yopps through this website and other research, but have come up empty on the WCH Lee angle. I would really like to connect him to other Lees in the south, but have failed so far. He might be from Franklin, VA, or Onslow county, NC (not far from Franklin). Onslow county was where Hester was supposedly born and where the Yopp brothers came from to Laurens county. Thanks for your answer. |
