I'm interested in any Yerby family that was in southside VA (Isle of Wight Co., Surry Co., Sussex Co., Southampton Co.) in the late 1600s - early 1700s. I'm searching for Katherine {Catherine} Carpenter who married by 1695 to _?_ "Earby". Earby may be Yerby {or Irby}. Katherine Earby had a son, William Earby, born by 1695. She inherited considerable land and property from her father in Surry Co. VA at his death in 1695/6. She or her descendants may have migrated into northeastern NC in the early 1700s.
