I, too, an trying to trace an ancestor in MD. named Henry Yeakle, born 1812 in Mechanicstown, Frederick County. He moved to Springfield, IL in 1838, possibly with a brother named William, maried, had two children there and died in 1896. I have had the notion that he might be a descendant of Hans Henried Yeakel who was a Schwekenfelder person. I have had no success trying to trace back from Henry, so perhaps better luck would be had tracing forward from Hans. Does your book cover this branch f the family? If so, did any of that family move to MD? Any clues would be most appreciated. Norma
