Looking for information on James Lapsley Yantis. My notes show his father as Enoch who was a tanner born in KY, his son was Judge Thomas Rusk Yantis who lived mostly in Van Zandt County, TX, was born 04/09/1857 in Rusk County, TX. I did a search in this forum on "Lapsley" and found several other Yantis men with that middle name but a search for "Yantis" on the Lapsley forum showed nothing. Since that's not the most common name, there must be some connection, does anyone know the significance of the name Lapsley?
