I am trying to confirm that my ggggrandmother Elizabeth Sammons Canfield ( Born Sept. 1,1809 Deerpark, New York) was the daughter of David Canfield and Mary Sammons. Mary Sammons was bapt. 15 Feb 1787 Deerpark, Orange, NY, the daughter of Johannas & Margaret (Wynkoop) Sammons. I am hoping that someone on this list has the Wynkoop/Sammons connection that will help me learn more of my Orange County New York roots. Thanks, Jim in Ohio
