I have HendrickSON relatives in Moline, IL at that time from Sweden. I don't know if there is a connection, but here's what I have.
Those relatives (and several Johnsons too) emigrated in the late 19th century; their names include
1. Robert Hendrickson (spelled originally Hindrickson) b. Dec. 16, 1862 Backanas Farm, Kolingared, Sweden. Emigrated 1890 to Moline IL.
2. John Alfred Hendrickson b. Aug. 16, 1856, Backanas Farm (as above). Emigrated 1881 to Moline, IL. Died in Gotenburg, Sweden, 1921 on a visit. Buried in Kolingared churchyard. (wife Ida C.; sons Geroge R., Robert S., Edward E. and daughters Amanda M. and Hilma C.
3. Oscar Hendrickson b. Dec. 14, 1860 Backanas, Kolingared, Sweden. Emigrated 1880 to Moline, IL. Lived at 1818 10th St. in 1900 census. A blacksmith? Children include Anna, Gottfrid, Earnest, Arthur, Emil, Clarence.
4. Kristina Josefina Hendrickson b. Nov. 14, 1845 Backanas Farm, Kol. Swe. Died 1917. Married Claus Andersson (b. 1843, Sweden) d. 1881. 9 children: Emil, Thilda Zerafina (d. 1938, Jamestown NY), John (d. 1952 Jamestown, NY), Richard (d. 1956 Jamestown NY)
Erlan, Alfrida, Emma, Helga, Elin (d. 1956 Jamestown, NY).
These were brothers and a sister to my great grandmother Ida Hendrickson Johnson. Please write if you are a relation. It would be good to find you as we have lost touch with our Illinois family.
I and much of the Johnson family still lives in Jamestown NY.
