If you subscribe to ancestry.com, you can search for those records; you also might try familysearch.org, which is a free site and has all the census, WWI draft registrations and WWII draft registrations; if the person you seek was born in Canada, be sure to enter that fact on the searches. You might also just google for sites...if your person was killed in WWII his name would be on the memorial sites for Canada and the UK...hope this helps.
