Happy 98th birthday to my father ( died 1990), Clyde A. Richards, who turned 28 yrs. old on Pearl Harbor Day and was still a civilian on Dec. 7, 1941. Three months later he was inducted in the Army and served three years with the 90th Infantry Division as a machine gunner, landing at Utah Beach on D+2, was wounded twice and spent six months in heavy combat on the frontlines. Sincere thanks to all of our veterans for your service and sacrifice.
