i was very interested to see your post as I'm trying to find out about Gunner 67865 Cecil Frank Whiting who was in the 91st Siege Battery RGA and who I believe was blown up in a gun-accident on 17th November 1916.
I have an account of this from his relative, Harry Whiting, who was in the 100th Siege Battery RGA, and who met up with him just before this happened. I have a page for Cecil on my hobby site which mentions this account if you'd like to have a look: https://sites.google.com/site/haverhillwhitings/individuals-1/cecil-frank-whiting-1891-1916
Do you know if there is any mention in the Diary records of the incident in which Cecil died?
Thanks for any suggestions you can offer,
