In your previous note you state: "I feel the family has mixed this up and had the wrong Joseph. Joseph Michael Daley may be the real relative."

I do not believe that is the case. Joseph Michael Daley although from New York was Corporal US Marine Corps, 5th USMC Regiment, 2nd Div. Killed on July 10 and Buried at Aisne-Marne Cemetery. US Marine Corps Muster Rolls show that Joseph M Daley was Corporal in March 1918 in 18th Company, 5th Regiment having enlisted 30 August 1915. Therfore he would not have registered for the draft in 1917 or 1918.

Your original posting mentions that your Joseph emigrated from Ireland in 1904 - That person was born in 1886. You state that Joseph was in 42nd - Rainbow Div US Army.

Double check all of the family's original documentation.
