That is the thing he never really fought he was part of what you call the honor guard detail. I believe he worked out of Fort Dix,New Jeresey but that I not totaly postive on that.What his duties in tailed was when the men were brought back from over seas who didn't make it.He would get them ready for there burial.Then after that was taken care of he would travel with there bodies to there homes for the burial ceremorey.With the flag folding and everything that titled them when they got shiped home. What he was mostly state side.And from my understanding to get anykind of military information you have to fork out fifty dollars.I would do that but my cousin is the one who is doing that side of the family and she thinks its to much to get military records.I believe its not if it goes back were it does good.
