My records show that Frederick Keister was
b. abt. 1708 in Germany. His son, Frederick
Keister was b. in Strasbourgh, Germany; d.
abt. 1814 in Pendleton Co., WV; married
Hannah Dyer abt. 1755 in that part of
Augusta Co., VA, later to become Pendleton
Co., WV. Her father and brother, Roger and
William Dyer were killed in an Indian
massacre at Fort Seybert, Pendleton Co., WV
on 4/28/1758. From 1777 to 1787, Fort
Seybert was within the boundaries of
Rockingham Co., VA. (I am searching for a
Oren Morton's History of Pendleton Co., WV,
which carries pages 42-50 details of this
massacre.) Children of Frederick Keister
and Hannah Dyer were Elizabeth Keister who
m. Henry Hull (my ancestors)and the
following:
2.James Keister b. 1756
3.Hannah Keister b. 1757
4.Esther Keister
5.Mary Keister
6.Frederick Keister b. 3/11/1774 (II)
7.George Keister b. 2/13/1776.

Frederick Keister, II, was son of Frederick
Keister, Jr. who m. Ann E. Probst and
Malinda Gum.

Most of this information is off the Roots-
Web World Connect Project provided by Harris
Judy of Fredericksburg, VA 4/17/2000 and
Susan Mullins 6/7/2000. I lucked into it
by researching the name Derieux (Sophia)
who m. John Hull, son of Henry Hull and
Elizabeth Keister in 1788. Their other
children were listed as Henry Hull, Jr.,
Elizabeth Hull, and Polly Hull.

Hope this will be of some help to you, and
perhaps you have access to the Pendleton
Co. history and can send me copies of the
pages indicated and anything else about
these surnames that may be in the book.
