From a dead link on the Internet says this was taken from a book on Pendleton Co. WV:

Peter and Anne McKinley of Rockingham Co. VA sold 246 acres on the mountain between the South Branch and the South Fork adjoining Fisher, Smith, and Vandeventer to a John Dean 2 Sept 1806.

200 of these acres were patented to Peter McKinley 16 Aug 1794 (Rev. War soldier)
with the remaining 46 acres taken up on a treasury warrant. The price paid by John Dean was 50 pounds VA money.

Added by me: There is a settlement in Rockingham Co. VA Burnt Deed Books at the Courthouse in Harrisonburg that proves that Anne was the daughter of Henry Henry and wife Mary who lived on Muddy Creek, Rockingham Co., VA.

Anne appears to have been the second wife of Peter McKinley.

About the time of selling the land above, they went to Jefferson Co. TN and bought land there. They sold it a few years later and bought land just across the river in Sevier Co.TN.

Anne McKinley was on the 1830 Sevier co. TN census as a widow. I am in contact with one of her descendants.
