Land Record Abstract: JOHN COLEP (COLAP) - 1819 - Pendleton Co VA

Survey 25 Jun 1813 "pursuant to an Order from the court of Pendleton County and certified by said court".
Land Grant 10 Feb 1819.
Delivered 01 Nov 1819 to SAMUEL JONES.
JOHN COLEP, 278 acres in Pendleton Co VA "... one hundred and twenty eight acres part thereof having been formerly granted to HENRY JUDY by grant bearing date the 22nd. June 1787, also 90 acres formerly granted to the said HENRY JUDY by grant bearing date the 11th January 1804, both of which tracts were conveyed by the said HENRY JUDY to the said JOHN COLEP (alias COLAP) by Deed of Bargain and Sale bearing date and admitted to record on the 7th day of July 1812, and 60 acres the residue thereof by virtue a Land Office Treasury warrant Number 4754 issued the 17th June 1811 ... on North Mill creek adjoining and between WISEs, EAGLEs and HARPOLEs Corner Lands ... a pine on a ridge opposite HARPOLEs Barn corner of COLEPs former land ... down the ridge to two hickory saplings his own and HARPOLEs corner ... crossing the creek ... a white Oak on a ridge near the waggon road ... a pine and red oak on the former line at the road and thence with the road ... a white oak EAGLEs corner at the road ... a line of EAGLEs to three large white oaks his own and EAGLEs corner ... a White Oak on a line of WISEs land ... crossing the creek ..."
