There are so many Mitchells to sort through; but as it appears, I am a direct decendant of Joshua Mitchell. My grandmother was Hattie M. Mitchell b. 10 Sep 1902, daughter of Charles R. Mitchell and Ethel Chambers. At some point the family moved to Moscow (Clermont Co., OH). My grandmother married Carlton Elkins Brackney,(b. May 1899 from Wilmington, OH) in the 1920's. In 1944 my grandparents moved from Dayton, OH to San Leandro, CA. My parents met while attending San Francisco State in the late 1950's, and I was raised in Northern California. I'm looking to connect with any Mitchells of WV and those connected with the Brackney family from Ohio. An interesting turn of events has brought me closer to my roots: I live in Ohio now and up until my recent deployment to Afghanistan, I worked as a locomotive engineer running trains through Wilmington, OH within view of a house my grandparents (Hattie and Carl)resided at in the 1930's. How wild is that?
