I am looking for information on a James Ewing, who may have been a Capt. in the military. He had a daughter, Jean, who md. Moses Moore in 1786 in Augusta Co., VA. They were from Monroe Co., WV or VA at that time. There has been some confusion between him and a James Ewing from Augusta or Bath Co., who was married to a Margaret Sargent. I am descended from Moses Moore, but don't know which Ewing is the correct one for the marriage. Can anybody help???
