Land Grant 29 Aug 1828. ADAM THOMAS, 475 acres in Monroe Co VA "... 391 acres part thereof which were formerty granted unto WILLIAM CRAIG by grant having date the 4th day of May 1786 who conveyed the same by JOHN BYRNSIDE his attorney by deed of bargain and sale bearing date Septr 24th 1793. 4½ acres other part which were formerly granted to ADAM THOMAS the 20th day of Febry 1818, 15 acres other part being part of two grants, which were formerly granted to JAMES SCOTT One for 350 acres bearing date May 4th 1785; the other for 95 acres bearing date Septr 13th 1796; who conveyed the same to said ADAM THOMAS by deed of bargain and sale, bearing date June 15th 1818, - 27¼ acres other part being part of a grant which was formerly granted to PATRICK BOYD for 1813 acres having date Decr 13th 1802 who in conjunction with his wife ANN conveyed the same to ADAM THOMAS by their deed of bargain and sale bearing date Novr 17th 1813, and 37¼ acres were acquired by an entry bearing date Octr 1st 1827: made by virtue of a Land Office Treasury warrant No. 9113 issued Decr 13th 1826: The whole of which Tract is bounded as followeth ... corner to WILSON now CAPERTON ... corner to same and CARR ...
