Wishing Henry Morton Woodson's book were available on CD! Many of my distant cousins and I have obtained digitized CD-versions of rare, out of print genealogical books like "The Gentry Family in America" by Richard Gentry. We especially enjoy the benefits of being able to use the htperlinks to skip from one related family or generation to another. Its a great research tool and allows the CD owner the ability to cut-n-paste text and photos with the click of the mouse. I would like to be able to obtain and offer Henry Morton Woodson's book on CD but alas, it is not available... yet! To digitize this book, we need to have an ORIGINAL EDITION to scan. Reprints like those sold by Higginson's are most always copies of a copy having fuzzy print and photos of poor quality. When such "second generation" copies are scanned, the resulting digitized editions are of very poor quality and rife with error as the OCR software built into scanners are unable to "read" the fuzzy print accurately. If any of you possess an original edition of "The Historical Genealogy of the Woodsons and Their Connections" by Henry Morton Woodson and are willing to LOAN OR RENT it to an electronic publisher for a couple of weeks, thousands of Woodsons can benefit from your generosity and Henry Woodsons research. Would you please contact me to discuss the possibility temporarily loaning or renting your book for this purpose? Thank you. John Graves jjg1948@myfamily.com P.S.
