Google on "Wofford Settlement" I don't have my notes available at the moment but as I recall, it was a fort located in East Georgia by William Wofford. There was a special agreement with the Indians to allow a 20 mile wide area for the use of the Wofford settlement. When I get to my notes, I will be able to expand on this.
