Hi again....yes I use Ancestry. Dates on my Windhams are: William J. Windham b.1834 d.1906 Darlington Sarah Ann Dew b. 1844 d.1906 Samuel Asberry Windham b. 1869 Columbia SC d. 1935 SC Although William J. was from the Darlington area...for some reason in 1870 after his service in the Civil War..he ended up in Columbia where all his children were born. He lived very near Phillip and Margaret Martin in the Ft. Jackson area. By the 1900 census he and his entire family were back in the Darlington area. Have no idea what prompted this move to and from Columbia. Would appreciate any info you find on the Carters...also if you want to email me direct: chris_wainscott@msn.com Please feel free to share this with any other researchers you think might have additional info. Thanks again! Joann |
