Yes, I'm still on this forum. In Augusta Co, I have figured out there are at least three (3) different Wilson/Willson clans there.
And there are two Wilsons living in Augusta Co in the 1750s that belong to Capt Sam, George, William, and a John Wilson/Willson (who bought all that property where the clan moved to): Hackland and Hercules Wilson.
Hercules lives next to George. Brother? Father/son? Only a few records mention him.
There is a record of a Hackland Wilson also in that very area at that time. A strange name. After reading up some old 1800s books on Chester Co, one of the books had a one liner about an area called Hackland which was near Forks of the Brandywine. Could be a coincidence tho - Hackland could've been a family name.
