Requesting information on H.B. WILLSON, patent attorney in Washington, DC in the late 1800s to early 1900s.
WILLSON was married in August 1913 at Buffalo, New York to Clara Henrietta GRIESBAUER of Washington, DC.
Clara was a clerk, with H.B. Willson & Company. Her brother, John Andrew GRIESBAUER was also a patent attorney in H.B. Willson & Company, and another brother, Charles L. GRIESBAUER, was a patent draftsman.
The circumstances surrounding Clara WILLSON, nee GRIESBAUER are confusing. She died in November, 1913, little more than two months after her marriage, and she reportedly died at Philadelphia. I do not know the circumstances of her death. But, she was buried in Washington, DC. Washington newspaper accounts mention her estate and probate.
Prior to marrying Clara, H.B. WILLSON transferred over the deed to his office building in DC (715 8th St. NW) to her. He then repurchased the interests of her estate in the property from Clara's brothers, who became owners in probate, a year or so later.
Any information on Harry B. WILLSON would be appreciated. I am attempting to discover how Clara died, and why the office property was transferred to her in her maiden name.
