I am trying to connect Samuel Willson of the Flank Company of the 1st Norfolk Regiment, Upper Canada, War of 1812, who died 31 Dec., 1812 (wife Elizabeth (DePew?), with a Samuel Willson of Hardwick Township, New Jersey, who may have been a Quaker.
The Annals of the Forty speak of the Ann Willson family arriving after the revolution, but this does not appear to be the correct family. Also dates of the Samuel Willsons of the Kingwood Quakers and the Samuel Willson of the Great Meadows meeting also do not appear to match as he was supposed to have been recruited by James Moody for the New Jersey Volunteers about 1777, so should have been born in early 1760's or 1750's.
Any information would be appreciated.
