Omro Journal Thursday, Feb. 15, 1883 p. 1 Another Death. We this week have to chronicle the death of another citizen of Omro, George Gadbaw, who has been sick for a few weeks, breathed his last at about 2:30 Saturday afternoon. It was thought by his family that he could not live long, but death was not looked for so soon. The disease was catarrhl consumption. Nearly all the family were present at the time of his death, and it gave him comfort to see so many of his friends before he died. The funeral was held at the Methodist church, on Monday at 1:30. The sermon was preached by Rev. Woodhead, and the funeral conducted by the Odd Fellows, of which order he was an honored member, having been N. G. for some time. Omro Journal Thursday, Feb. 15, 1883 p. 5 ALEX GADBAW, of Minneapolis, arrived in town on Thursday evening. He came in answer to a telegram informing him of his brother’s sickness. LEWIS GADBAW, of Oswego, N. Y., came in on the train Thursday evening. He met his brother Alex, on the train near Horicon. It was unexpected, as each did not know that the other was within five hundred miles. |
