I can't thank you enough for all the infromation you have given me.It should help get further in my search. My father-in-law has found out his Grandfather had been raised as a foster child with a Gould family in Dixmont maine. He went by the name Frank Gould until the day he died . What we have since found out was he really was Frank Crawford from Lowell,Mass. Annie Crawford wife of William Whitney was one of his sisters. Frank applied for his marriage license as Frank Crawford but the day he got married he signed his marriage certificate as Frank Gould. He had 5 child which have all since passed away. Three of his daughters were still alive when we first found out about Frank Being a foster child, They said when they were growing up 3 ladies came up from Lowell often to visit when they were children . They remebered thier names to be Annie, Margaret & Catherine, I have since proven these 3 ladies were his birth sisters. I am trying to find any relatives taht may have some family history to share.
