Dear Kevin, I am your counsin, Pat Werline Schmidt from Louisville, Ky. I was born in Elwood as were my brother and sisters. My father was Charles Werline,your grandfather's brother. I visited Elwood this past summer and spent some time with Barbara Fish. Barbara and I have been in contact for some time as we both have been doing some work in genealogy about the Werline and McCracken families. I would be interested in knowing what information you have gotten about the Werline family. I would be happy to share anything I have been able to learn about them. Barbara probably is your best source having been around the family all of her life. Please feel free to contact me at any time so we can compare notes. It's good to know about another Werline. I have been in contact with the music company(Werlein) in New Orleans to try to establish a connection between our families, but have not been able to do so. At least some of the Texas Werlines are related to the ones in New Orleans andMississippi. I think we may have a connection to a WErline I found in Ohio.
