I'm curious about your information on Westley Freeman Wellons. My information has him being born in Micro, Johnson County, NC in 1789. The geneology prepared by a distant cousin does not list his date or place of birth, but it does show that he married Elizabeth Holt Wellons (b. 1796 in Johnson Co.) and had 12 children by her, five of which lived past infancy. Those children were (i) Larkin (b. 2/2/1816), (ii) Sally (b. 10/1/1820), (iii) Veturia (12/8/1823), (iv) Erastus (10/9/1826) and (v) Wiley (b. 4/3/1829). I'm descendent from Erastus' line. Is it possible that Westley Freemen is the son of the Westley Freemen Wellons born in Southampton Co., Va in 1758? Any information regarding the ancestors of Westley Freemen Wellons specifically, and how the Wellons clan migrated from Va. to Johnson Co. would be greatly appreciated.
