I descend from Jane Welling and James/Jacobus Snedecker who m 16 Apr 1765, place unknown. James was from Brooklyn or Queens and removed to Dutchess Co., NY just before or just after his marriage, then returned to Newtown, Queens by 1790. Their eldest, Elizabeth, was Bap in the Fishkill RDC in Jun 1766 & m 1791 at Newtown to Nathaniel Renne/Rennie. Elizabeth named her eldest son Thomas, possibly after her grandfather (this was not a Renne or Snedecker name.) Does anyone have a clue to the parents of Jane Welling?
