My Great Grandparents were married in Chicago Illinois in 1911. Adolph Weise & Emma Schauer (Shour)(sp?) Adolph's father was Gustav A. Weise. The story I was told was that their marriage was arranged by the families. They both immigrated sepratly to Chicago where they were married. I have been trying to find proof of the marriage. Adolph was born 9 January 1883 in Berlin, Germany. Died in the USA in 1935, I believe in Michigan. Emma was born 30 May 1893 in Black Forest, Germany. Died in Muskegon, Michigan. They had a total of 11 known children, 3 of which are said to have been stillborn, 3 lived to adulthood and produced children.
