Hi, Charles Wigan.... This is all the information I have : I have a Charles Wygant, in Census 1870, age 62 born NY, in HH of John Wygant (Charles is not John's father), Crawford County PA. Since he is in the area of other Wygants, he could be connected to this line. The family moved to PA in the mid 1830's. I have no idea where he came from. The others Wygants have been documented and searched. The Wygant has been spelled many different ways. Do you see a connection ? I have not been able to find my Charles in any other records.
