Katherine, thank you for the info. you have. I don't think we are from the same Weigand line OR maybe even further back than we both have. My info. goes back to Johann Christian Weigand (1753-1826), from Baden. he married Elisabeth Saamin. He would have been my great, great, great grandfather. I am currently trying to find out info on my great grandfather -- then will work backwards from there. Thanks again for your help. Let me know if anything here is of interest to you. Susan
