I have several wills that mention Janet Allison that is married to William Watt of Lancaster County, Pa. Janet has a sister, Margaret, married to a Bowman and both families moved to North Carolina, circa 1770. Janet Allison’s father’s will of 1762 mentions the fact that both daughter are married, but no mention of living in North Carolina. The sister’s mother passed in 1764, the will does not mention them living in North Carolina. The sister’s brother; James Allison, Jr., will of 1776 leaves legacies to the children of his sisters Janet and Margaret of North Carolina. I assume this means the his sisters have died before 1776. I you have information to help identify this family, please help. Thanks Mel Allison
