Am looking for information regarding Asa D. Curtis, born 1791, died Sept. 21, 1849 Holmes County Ohio. According to the Find A Grave site, he was a Pvt. in the Joab Norton's Co, Ohio soldiers, War of 1812. I am trying to find out if this is my Asa Curtis, who was married to Elsa Chambers. They had 2 daughters that I am aware of, Permelia L. Curtis born NY, married to Archibald Lemmon in Holmes OH 1847, and Abigail Curtis (my gr gr grandmother) b. abt 1820 NY, first married to Benjamin F. Cary abt 1843 Holmes Cty Oh, then later married Garry C. Gibson Cattaraugus Cty NY. A possible son of Asa & Elsa was Chancey Curtis b. abt 1831 NY.

According to Abigail's death record her parents were Asa Curtis and Elsa Chambers but no other info. If there are any records associated with Asa's service that would help rule him in or out as my relative I would appreciate the help greatly.
